Site Council
District Site Council
The District Site Council is comprised of representatives from Building Site Councils representing various stakeholders including:
- Parents
- Students
- Representatives from area Business/Community Partners
- Staff members (certified and classified)
*District Site Council meets 2 times per year.
Purpose: The purpose of the District Site Council is to serve in an advisory capacity to provide input and feedback throughout the district improvement process.
The role includes the following:
- Review district-level student data
- Review district continuous improvement process (KESA Goals and Strategic Plan)
- Provide feedback and make recommendations
District Site Council Meeting Presentations
Building Site Council
All schools have a Building Site Council made up of stakeholder representatives including:
- Parents (including parent of exceptional student & PTA President)
- Students
- Representatives from area Business/Community Partners
- Staff members (certified and classified)
*Majority of members should be non-school employees and the make-up of the Building Site Council should reflect the school’s various demographic and stakeholder groups. Optimal size is 10- 15 members.
*Building Site Council meets quarterly. Meeting notes are submitted to the Curriculum & Instruction Department following each meeting.
Purpose: The purpose of the Building Site Council is to serve in an advisory capacity to provide input and feedback throughout the School Improvement Process.

- Review building-level student data
- Review school improvement goals and action plans
- Provide feedback and make recommendations
