Board of Education Seeks Input to Guide Superintendent Search

The Shawnee Mission Board of Education is asking for your opinion to help guide the search for a new Superintendent. Dr. Mike Fulton has announced his retirement, and the Board has undertaken a selection process that focuses on internal candidates. As part of the search, the Board would like to hear from you about the qualities you advise them to look for during interview and selection.

The process is easy. Please indicate how important you feel each item should be as the selection process moves forward. We ask for only one response per person. Review of responses will begin on January 27, so please respond soon.

*What happens to my input? All responses will be reviewed by a third party who is not an employee of the district. Responses will be summarized, and forwarded to the Board for their use.

*Is my information anonymous? Yes. The third party will view the individual responses, but the Board will view a summary. Additionally, the third party has no means of identifying who responds.

*What if I have comments? There is an open-ended question at the conclusion of the survey.

La Junta de Educación de Shawnee Mission está pidiendo su opinión para ayudar a guiar la búsqueda de un nuevo superintendente. ¿Qué pasa con mi aporte?
Todas las respuestas serán revisadas por un tercero que no es un empleado del distrito. Las respuestas se resumirán y se enviarán a la Junta para su uso.
¿Es mi información anónima?

Si. Un tercero verá las respuestas individuales, pero la Junta verá un resumen. Además, el tercero no tiene forma de identificar quién responde.
