Hocker Grove eighth-grader, Hannah Lank, won the middle school division of the Kansas World Language Association (KSWLA) poster contest.
The Spanish II student created an original, digital design for the competition.
The contest asked students to create artwork depicting the 2021 KSWLA Conference theme, “One World, Many Voices.”
Alexandria Raine, Spanish teacher at Hocker Grove, shares that submissions were made from all over the state. As the winner, Hannah earned an Amazon gift card and a free Conference pass for her teacher.
Hannah’s digital poster was evaluated based on visual impact, cultural relevance, linguistic input, applicability to the theme, and originality. Her poster will be displayed on the KSWLA website and showcased at the 2021 conference.
