Recently, the Shawnee Mission Area Council PTA (SMAC PTA) held a virtual open house, recognizing students who submitted their work to the 2020-2021 PTA Reflections Program.
Students across the district submitted visual artwork, literature, photography, musical compositions, films, and choreography. Reflections Artwork can be viewed online on the SMAC PTA website.
This year, students were encouraged to interpret the theme “I Matter Because.” SMAC PTA received 67 entries from students at the elementary, middle, and high school level across the district.
Here is a look at Shawnee Mission students who have received an Award of Excellence and will compete in the Kansas state Reflections Program competition:
