Shawnee Mission Northwest Theatre and Thespian Troupe #888 say they are #VirtuallyUnstoppable, as they continue their 2020-2021 theatre season. They will soon share a mainstage performance of Oscar Wilde’s classic satirical comedy, “The Importance of Being Earnest”.
Students involved in the virtual production rehearsed and prepared remotely and in-person following all district safety protocols. All production took place remotely. There will be a premiere broadcast at 7 pm on Saturday, November 21, and then it will be available for on demand viewing beginning November 22 through November 30.
Tickets are FREE for SMNW students and $10.00 for adults.

“The Importance of Being Earnest” is considered one of Oscar Wilde’s greatest works. It lampoons Victorian high society, as two dapper gents each try to bring excitement to their lives by adopting the false persona of “Earnest” while wooing their current love interests.
