The Shawnee Mission Board of Education recognized two Shawnee Mission All Stars on February 28, 2022.
The newest honorees are:
Kim Harwood, a paraprofessional at Indian Woods Middle School.
Principal John Bartel highlighted that Harwood began working at Indian Woods this year and quickly established a great rapport with staff and a relationship of trust with students.
“Her patience, her humor, and her willingness to help all students is greatly appreciated not only by teachers and students, but also by the administration as well,” Bartel added.
Tina Lipari, a social worker at Corinth Elementary School.
Principal Michelle Lord invited Corinth second-grader, John, to help introduce All Star Tina Lipari, acknowledging the power and impact of student voice.
“I think Miss Lipari is a great social worker because she really helps me out,” John shared with the Board. “We have done great things together and the reason I’m here is because I’m really excited she got this award. She is the one who deserves it.”
