National Digital Citizenship Week
The SMSD will host a session with Lindsay Stephenson, coordinator of instructional technology, to help families learn more about Digital Citizenship in our classrooms.

Digital Citizenship Week begins the week of October 18! Students and staff across the district will spend time that week and in the following weeks focusing on Digital Citizenship in our classrooms.
During the October 21 session, find answers to questions such as:
● What is Digital Citizenship?
● How can I support my student becoming a better Digital Citizen?
● What are some discussions that I can start having with my child about digital citizenship?
● What are resources that can help me learn more?

The SMSD will host a session on Students, Screentime, and Health

Chris Jenson, public health advisor, with a background in education and medicine, will discuss screentime and supporting student social-emotional health in light of COVID-19 challenges. Reservations are required.
