Happy Lancer Day, Shawnee Mission East!
It started as a rainy day on Friday, Sept. 3, but the sun started shining in time for the Lancers to hold their annual parade along Mission Road.
Students and staff in various athletic teams, clubs, and organizations, traveled toward the clock tower at the Shops of Prairie Village. This year was a walk on the wild side with a “Lancer Zoo!” theme. Lancers dressed like creatures of land, sea, and sky traveled along the parade route.
They concluded with a pep rally, featuring cheers, speeches, pep music, and an official Lancer Day proclamation.
At 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021 SM East and SM North football teams were scheduled to face off at Shawnee Mission School District Stadium, North location.
