October is National Principals Month
Shawnee Mission School District

National Principals Month begins today, Oct. 1, 2021.

The Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD) thanks these school leaders for all they do to help students achieve unlimited possibilities.

Officially, organizations such as the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the American Federation of School of Administrators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the U.S. Congress will mark the recognition throughout the month.

We encourage and hope everyone in our community will also find a way to #ThankAPrincipal they know.

These individuals play an essential role in making schools great for students in Pre-K through 12th grade across the district. Principals serve many roles, providing time, talent, leadership skills, knowledge, energy, and support for both educators, students, and families.

Thank you to all SMSD principals for the difference you make for our students, educators, and community!
