Shawnee Mission Northwest recently celebrated homecoming with a “Dancing through the Decades”- themed parade. Musicians, dancers, teachers, athletes, and members of various student groups joined in the celebration. Families and Cougar fans lined the street waving and cheering for the school community.
At 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, the SM Northwest football team faced off against Lawrence at the Shawnee Mission North District Stadium winning, 41-24.
The school continued homecoming celebrations with a school dance over the weekend.
