Shawnee Mission School District
Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD) students are giving our community a look at the “Future of Art” in a local exhibit.
Community members can see SMSD student artwork through January 11, 2022 at the Tomahawk Ridge Community Center, 11902 Lowell, Overland Park.
The gallery hours are:
Monday through Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Teachers selected the artwork that is currently featured at the center. Visitors will be able to see artwork created by students from all five SMSD feeder patterns, Megan Ellis, visual arts coordinator noted.
“We’re excited for our community to have the opportunity to see their work and see how these students are representing the SMSD in this show,” she expressed.
