Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD) leaders are preparing to welcome students on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year.
As they prepared for the start of the new school year, school and district directors, and principals gathered for a two-day Leadership Retreat at the Center for Academic Achievement.
Superintendent Dr. Michelle Hubbard, and Associate Superintendent, David Stubblefield welcomed everyone and spoke to the important roles each play in the future of our students as we work together as one Shawnee Mission.
During the retreat, administrators attended professional development workshops and spent time collaborating with their building teams.
Excitement is building as new teachers will be welcomed to the district in early August. Returning teachers and students will return the week of August 11 to begin the new school year. Click here to see the 2022-2023 calendar.
