The Shawnee Mission School District (SMSD) is proud to recognize seniors announced in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program!
These students took the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT), which served as an initial screen of program entrants. The 16,000 semifinalists named represent less than 1 percent of United States High School seniors.
The following students earned semifinalist distinction and will have an opportunity to advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, worth nearly $28 million. Finalists will be notified of this designation next February.
