Shawnee Mission School District
On Friday, December 6, 2024, leaders from the Shawnee Mission School District hosted elected officials at the Broadmoor Bistro, located within the Center for Academic Achievement, to present and discuss the district’s legislative platform.
Superintendent Dr. Michael Schumacher kicked off the event with a brief “State of the District” address, highlighting key accomplishments, challenges, and future goals. Chief Communications Officer David A. Smith then outlined the district’s 2025 legislative priorities, guiding attendees through the platform and facilitating a question-and-answer session to conclude the event.
