Interested in joining Summer Enrichment classes in Shawnee Mission School District?
Summer Enrichment gives students a chance to explore and enjoy new learning that is not based on school district regular curriculum.
New classes have been added and several have open spots! New classes include:
- ‘Smiley Face’ sessions have been added for our Pre-Kindergarteners (turning 4 before June 1).
- Afternoon sessions added for ‘All on Board’ for current 5th-7th graders, featuring a variety of board games to play.
- Additional sessions have been added and extended for current K-3rd graders, in ‘Full STEAM Ahead’, themed “It’s Electric!” focused on how electricity works.
- Sessions remain open for Babysitting Basics, Discovering Art, Exploring Canva, Getting Crafty, Junior Makes, Summer Nature, and many more.

Classes offered in SMSD’s Summer Enrichment Program are taught by certified educators and designed to help students explore interests and activities they enjoy.
Times: Morning sessions are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afternoon sessions are from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch care is from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. (optional add-on with a single session; included in tuition if enrolled in both the morning and afternoon sessions.)
Morning Care is from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. (available as an optional add-on to the morning session only.)
Dates: Monday through Friday, June 8 through July 17, 2026. There will be no program on June 19, 2026. There will be no Summer Enrichment the week of June 29-July 4,2026.
Place: Westridge Middle School, 9300 Nieman Road, Overland Park, KS
