Accepting Nominations for Shawnee Mission All-Stars
Shawnee Mission School District

Do you know a Shawnee Mission employee who should be recognized as a Shawnee Mission All-Star?  You can nominate a certified and/or classified employee to be considered for the district award by clicking here.

Employees who embody the mission of the Shawnee Mission School District by serving our learners, our teams, and our community with excellence are recognized by the Board of Education and district for this award each month.  A committee meets to review nominations and complete the selection process.

Nominators are encouraged to share specific examples and tell stories that demonstrate what makes the nominee stand out as an All-Star, particularly how they support students in achieving the district’s three objectives of relevant personalized learning, college and career readiness, and development of interpersonal skills.

In September, Melissa Molteni, second-grade teacher at Corinth, and Natalie Johnson-Berry, English Language Arts teacher at Shawnee Mission North, are the most recent employees honored as Shawnee Mission All-Stars. Both were also recognized as district nominees for Kansas Teacher of the Year.
