The Broadmoor Bistro is now accepting reservations for its next guest chef event.

Chef Carlos Falcon, of Jarocho Authentic Mexican Seafood restaurants, will work with culinary arts students at the Broadmoor Bistro to prepare a menu featuring a variety of global inspirations and flavors. The dinner event begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29 at the Broadmoor Bistro at the Center for Academic Achievement, 8200 W. 71st St. It will include passed appetizers with a five-course meal. Falcon will mentor students throughout his visit to help them strengthen culinary techniques, execution, and presentation.

Falcon grew up near the ocean in Mexico. He often prepared fresh ingredients with his mother, even at a very young age. He attended culinary school in New York and has opened restaurants in Kansas City. He opened Jarocho in Kansas City, Kansas in 2014 and more recently, Jarocho South in Kansas City, Missouri. In 2018 Jarocho won Best Seafood and Best Mexican Food in the Feast 50 Awards.
