The final Guest Chef Mentor Dinner at the Broadmoor Bistro this season features Chef Vaughn Good of the Fox and Pearl restaurant. Good and Shawnee Mission culinary students will prepare a five-course dinner. The event begins with passed appetizers at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at the Broadmoor Bistro, 8200 W. 71st Street, Overland Park, KS 66204 at the Center for Academic Achievement.

Good is currently chef and owner of Hank’s Charcuterie in Lawrence. Doors will close on May 20th and he and his wife and partner, Kristine Hull will open their new venture Fox and Pearl in Kansas City in the fall. The Fox and Pearl is currently open in a temporary location in Kansas City.

Chef Good grew up with soulful Southern and Midwestern cooking. His food memories are rich with family tradition. After attending the International Culinary Center (founded as the French Culinary Institute), he returned to the Midwest to embrace his roots. Chef Good works directly with the farmers to bring the best ingredients to his restaurant and sources produce and meat locally.
