A representative from Children’s Mercy recently stopped by Corinth Elementary to thank students for supporting the hospital.
Earlier this year, organizers and students designated a booth at the school fall festival to be used to raise funds to support a local organization. Students in each classroom at Corinth selected to have the funds support Children’s Mercy.
Before Winter Break, Erica Logan, senior manager of philanthropic community engagement and events at Children’s Mercy, visited the school to help students learn more about how they helped. She explained how funds are used to support children and the care patients receive at the hospital.
“It was beneficial and meaningful for students to make a connection and learn how the funds they raised will help others,” Principal Chris Lowe said.
