Discussion about Youth Mental Health to Take Place Jan. 15

RSVPs are being accepted for an upcoming community discussion about adolescents and their mental health.

The event is being hosted by members of the East Antioch PTA and individuals representing  a variety of organizations that work to support mental health. The parent information night is open to all Shawnee Mission School District families and will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 at Shawnee Mission North High School, 7401 Johnson Drive.

The event will feature a panel discussion about adolescent mental wellness, how it affects the family, and what can be done to support children on their journey of mental wellness.

The event will be moderated by Ann Konz, board member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and local mental health advocate and will include representatives from Pathways to Hope, Health Partnership Clinic, Johnson County Mental Health, NAMI, Jewish Family Services, and Children’s Mercy.
