Health Partnership Clinic Honors Shawnee Mission School District

HPC Award
Shawnee Mission School District

Health Partnership Clinic (HPC) recently presented the Shawnee Mission School District with the Leadership Impact Award.

Several Shawnee Mission staff members attended a luncheon hosted by the community partner to accept the award. Tierney Grasser, HPC board chair, presented the award to Shelby Rebeck, Shawnee Mission School District Health Services director.

Grasser noted the district and HPC have worked collaboratively since 2012 with the common goal of improving students’ access to health. Last spring, the first school-based clinic in the Shawnee Mission School District opened to provide medical, dental, and behavioral health services at Merriam Park Elementary School.

“Thank you, Shawnee Mission School District, for your leadership and commitment to the health and well-being of your most vulnerable students and for partnering with Health Partnership Clinic to provide accessible, affordable, and quality health care to your students and their siblings,” Grasser said. “The support of school nurses, social workers, principals and administrative staff have demonstrated the district’s unwavering commitment to improving health and impacting the lives of their students.”

“In the Shawnee Mission School District, we very grateful for the robust partnership with HPC and the positive impact on our students’ health and well-being,” Rebeck said.
