Shawnee Mission School District
Davis Eakes, sixth grader at Highlands Elementary, collected 1,940 items for the Veterans Community Project following his Genius Hour project about helping homeless veterans.
He collected additional items at his home and will be delivering the hygiene kits and snack bags to the Veterans Community Project. He is grateful this holiday seasons to be making a difference for veterans in his community.
