Indian Woods Middle School Presents “Footloose”

IWMS Footloose
Shawnee Mission School District

“Footloose” will be presented at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5 at Indian Woods Middle School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for general admission.

Middle school students are involved in all aspects of the musical production from performing, to running lights and sound. Students from Shawnee Mission South are also assisting the middle school students with the sound and technical portions of the production.

“Footloose” is the story of Ren McCormack who moves to a small Midwestern community from Chicago and is shocked when he discovers dancing and rock music are illegal in his new hometown.

Sixth-graders from feeder elementary schools attended a matinee performance this week. The matinee was followed by lunch, tours, and ice-breaker sessions to help introduce the students to middle school. For more information, please contact the school.
