Invitation to Career and Technical Campus Open House

The Shawnee Mission School District invites students and their families to a Career and Technical Campus Open House from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 4 2019, at the Career and Technical Campus, 11475 W. 93rd. Street.

The Career and Technical Campus is home to the district’s Project Blue Eagle  Law Enforcement, Fire Science, and EMS program.

This is the first semester students are learning in this facility and the Open House will include a brief dedication ceremony at 6:30pm.

Those attending the open house will have the opportunity to visit classrooms and see Project Blue Eagle students demonstrate the skills they are learning. There also will be opportunities to speak with instructors and current students about the program and to learn about options for creating flexibility in high school schedules to allow time for enrollment in coursework.

In addition to the Open House, students and their families can learn more about these opportunities at https://ctc.smsd.org/academics/signature-programs/project-blue-eagle. Counselors at your student’s middle and/or high school also serve as a tremendous resource in helping your child develop a dynamic and individualized high school experience to help them explore their areas of interest.
