Maria McIntyre, Michael Fanning, Kim Hess, and Ada Wallace, are the newest Shawnee Mission School District All-Stars.
McIntyre is secretary for the English Language Learner department. Click here to see a video about Maria.
Fanning is a fifth-grade teacher at Crestview, Kim Hess is a first-grade teacher Crestview, and Ada Wallace is a social worker at Crestview. Click here to watch a video about this team of educators.
The Crestview team was honored especially for their work to provide the Isabel Helmuth Summer Acceleration program, which gave Crestview students an opportunity to gain extra practice in reading, math, or both subjects in the summer months. Support for this program was been provided by the family of Isabel Helmuth through the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation.
The Shawnee Mission All-Star honors are given to employees to go above and beyond to ensure excellence for all in the Shawnee Mission School District. These honors were presented at the October 22 Shawnee Mission Board of Education meeting.
