This spring, Sunflower students visited Hollis + Miller and worked with architects to develop a design charrette for an outdoor learning space. This week, employees from Hollis + Miller are putting those ideas into development.

“I think it is going to help us as teacher branch out and get creative in thinking of ways to take our learning outside and incorporating nature into what we’re learning,” Annie Wolf, Sunflower teacher said.

Some of the most fun ideas from the Learnscape came from the Sunflower students who contributed ideas to the project, Michael Patrick, Hollis + Miller project architect said.

“The input the students put in is inspiring and the energy they create is contagious,” Patrick said.
