Prairie Student Named Top Essay Writer in Kindest Kansas Citian Contest

Amelia Suptic, a sixth-grader at Prairie Elementary School, was named a Top 3 Winner for an essay she submitted to the Kindest Kansas Citian Contest.

She wrote an essay about Billy Brimblecom Jr., who started a nonprofit called Steps of Faith to help people obtain needed prosthetic devices.

Her essay was selected out of nearly 5,000 submissions to the contest. Suptic will be honored at an awards celebration in May.
