Rosehill Students Build ‘Golf of Wonders’ Course

Rosehill Students Build ‘Golf of Wonders’ Course
Shawnee Mission School District

Rosehill first-graders turned what they wonder about into a putter’s paradise.

They constructed a “Golf of Wonders” course. It was made of miniature golf challenges representing ideas and topics that sparked their curiosity.

Once built, the students invited district leaders and community members to try out their golf games.

The project gave students a creative opportunity to share what they had learned about topics that inspired them to learn, Brandi Leggett, instructional coach said. It also included opportunities to practice their math skills, through calculating golf scores, and physical activity.
