September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month
The Shawnee Mission School District is taking part in the effort to share resources and raise awareness about suicide prevention.
At the Shawnee Mission Board of Education’s Sept. 9 meeting, members proclaimed September as Suicide Prevention Month, urging all citizens to participate in its observance. The board stated its commitment to “saving and supporting life with our community partners, through awareness, education, and outreach.” Click here to read the full proclamation.
