Shawnee Mission East Celebrates 60th Anniversary at Lancer Day Parade

Lancers of the past, present, and future traveled along Mission Road on Aug. 31, as Shawnee Mission East High School celebrated a milestone anniversary.

The school community held its annual Lancer Day Parade and marked 60 years of education at SM East. Click here to see a video. 

Students, staff, and alumni dressed in Columbia Blue and in outfits representing each decade at SM East. Lancers who are involved in music, sports, and a variety of clubs and organizations at school marched their way to The Village shops for an all-school pep rally.
