Shawnee Mission East Celebrates Four Perfect ACT Scores

At Shawnee Mission East High School, four juniors recently earned a perfect score on the ACT exam.

Harvey Ji, Aislinn Kinsella, Wyatt Wimmer, and Andrew Wurst all earned a 36 composite score.  

Ji is a competitive pianist, plays tennis at Shawnee Mission East, and volunteers for Advent Health Systems. Ji is considering a future in pre-medicine or programming.

Kinsella is involved in marching band, debate and forensics, and International Baccalaureate (IB). Kinsella is interested in a pursuing a career in a science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) field or pre-medicine.

Wimmer is involved in video production at Shawnee Mission East and looks forward to taking a lot of math and science courses while in college to prepare for a STEM career.

Wurst is completing the IB Diploma Program and is involved in band and jazz band. Loving anything related to music, Wurst is exploring careers that relate to math and music.

Less than one-tenth of one percent of all students who take the ACT earn a perfect composite score.
