Adam White, a Shawnee Mission Northwest junior, has earned a perfect composite score on the ACT exam.
Adam takes multiple Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses and is very involved in varsity soccer, javelin, and sings in the acapella and chamber choir. White also serves on the choir executive board and is a participant in National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Math National Honor Society, and is on the Shawnee Mission Northwest Link Crew, a mentorship program for freshmen. He also plays on a club soccer team and take voice lessons outside of school.
White noted that Jessica Barger, his math teacher, has been a particularly positive influence in his school experience, saying she challenges and inspires him to push himself to achieve.
White is exploring higher education opportunities that will allow him to study engineering and continue his involvement in choir and stated he is grateful his hard work throughout his school years are allowing him new opportunities to pursue future aspirations.
Less than one-tenth of one percent of all students who take the ACT earn a perfect composite score.
