The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) has recognized Shawnee Mission students among the top high school journalists in the country. Multiple Shawnee Mission students and student publications were honored with prestigious awards at the 2018 Journalism Education Association (JEA)/NSPA Fall National High School Journalism Convention.
The honors include a Pacemaker, the preeminent award in scholastic journalism.
