The Shawnee Mission School District is hosting informational forums focused on facilities throughout the school district in October. Parents, students, staff, and community members are invited to attend these public forums. View video invitation.
The forums are an opportunity for stakeholders to learn more about the planning process, the big picture of school facility needs and the preliminary list of priorities, including specific information related to each attendance area.
Individual feedback will be gathered at these forums and will be brought back to the District Facilities Task Force for review. Information from that process will be provided to the Superintendent for consideration in recommending a Bond issue proposal to the Board of Education.
Forums are an open house format and patrons may attend the event that best fits their schedule. Forums will be hosted as follows:
