Shawnee Mission School District
Schools across the district will kick off the Shawnee Mission School District’s “We Care, I Can" food drive next week. The campaign will run Nov. 4 – 8.
Students and staff are encouraged to hold competitions and collection efforts to gather cans of food and other nonperishable items.
Contributions to the districtwide food drive support the Johnson County Christmas Bureau, which helps local families in need.
The We Care, I Can food drive slogan was created by Shawnee Mission students to recognize that “I” is both a number and pronoun signifying one can of food and the affirmation that each individual can and will share with others.
