The Kansas School Nurse Organization has honored a Shawnee Mission School District administrator for excellence and professionalism in school nursing practice.
Shelby Rebeck, coordinator for health services in the Shawnee Mission School District, was named Kansas School Nurse Administrator of the Year. She was presented with the honor at the Kansas School Nurse Organization’s Summer Conference.
Rebeck was nominated by Jennifer Wildung, Rosehill Elementary school nurse, which was accompanied by letters of support from Rick Atha, assistant superintendent for instructional support, David Aramovich, McKinney-Vento social worker, and many Shawnee Mission School District nurses.
“The Shawnee Mission School District, our community and the nursing profession are immeasurably better for her contributions,” Wildung, said. “I know I speak for our entire team in saying that we feel privileged and blessed to have her as a mentor, leader, and supervisor.”
