Supporting Digital Citizenship at Home

Unlike the real world, the digital world is open and active at any time, from anywhere. As teachers, leaders, parents, or community members we must work together to foster good digital citizens. On Wednesday, August 25th, Dr. Stephanie J. Madlinger will share how to respect, educate, and protect our children as we all learn how to be good digital citizens. This virtual workshop will be interactive with real stories, example scenarios, breakout rooms for small groups, and resources to use now and in the future.

Participants will learn ideas for how to be active digital parents & stewards in today’s digital world by

  1. respecting self and others by monitoring and being mindful
  2. educating self and others by modeling and being literate
  3. protecting self and others by managing and being safe

Dr. Stephanie J. Madlinger is currently the Director of Educational Innovation for EducationPlus, a non-profit education service agency located in St. Louis, Missouri.
