We understand that each teacher approaches the use of technology in the classroom a little differently. We encourage all teachers to utilize technology as a resource to improve learning in a rigorous and meaningful way. We look for ways technology can support consumption, communication, creation and collaboration. As referenced in our Big 3 SMSD guide, we believe in a BALANCED approach to the use of technology and that devices should be used PURPOSEFULLY to collect data, COMMUNICATE, collaborate and create. Our technology devices are tools, and are useful in supporting us as we strive to meet the objectives of the Strategic Plan, including the need to personalize learning for each student.
