Student Support Central

The two primary accounts required for students are:

• SMSD directory service 'network' account
• Google account

Both are based on the student ID number. Many times these same accounts are used to login to other systems such as Web Help Desk, textbook curriculum, Adobe, Office, Google Classroom, Mosyle Manager, etc....

If you do not know the password when trying to log into a district 1:1 device, website, or app that uses these, please contact your teacher or school administration for assistance. They may have the information for you or be able to help reset these for you. If not, they can create a ticket for ICT to help get it reset.

Students use their SMSD Google account for e-mail. The easiest way to access mail is to navigate to https://mail.google.com

If a teacher has directed students to use the Outlook app to access e-mail, these directions will help to set it up.

• Printing - Student's printing from their 1:1 device at school or at home is not supported. If items need to be printed for school, the teacher is to sponsor those for the student.

Certain students are provided access to Windows resources for specific curriculum or courses. Your teacher will direct you to use these resources if needed.

• Directions on How to access Windows resources through Microsoft Remote Desktop at SMSD (On SMSD networks in school buildings)
