Short Term Disability

Salary Protection Plan 
Shawnee Mission offers salary protection through Sun Life Financial. This plan may pay up to 70 percent of your weekly salary for up to 25 consecutive weeks during personal disability. This benefit has a 5-day waiting period and all paid time off must be exhausted before a claim can be filed. The district does not contribute to the cost of the monthly short term disability premium. Premiums will be payroll deducted on a pre-tax basis.
