Mental Health

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Your SupportLinc EAP benefit is free of charge to all employees and their family members. The EAP benefit offers free counseling sessions, financial and legal services. Visit www.supportlinc.com and use code: smsd as the group code to get started using the wide array of resources. Johnson County Mental Health Center has expanded a free service to school staff members who work in Johnson County.
- JCMHC also has dozens of free resources online at j ocogov.org/county-services. These resources include weekly emails, a mental health podcast, support groups, phone apps (sleep, meditation, self-help), coping strategies and other mental health practices your can do from your home or office. As always, the 24/7 Crisis Line is available to anyone at 913-268-0156.
- In partnership with EVERFI, Johnson County Mental Health Center is providing health & wellness education to educators across Johnson County. The Johnson County Educator Wellness Center is a self-guided, digital mental wellness resource designed to provide educators with on-demand content related to your unique mental health needs. You'll find a variety of topics, including Managing Mental Health Challenges, Supporting a Friend or Loved One, and Strategies for Stress Management.
Behavioral Health Therapist at PriorityOne Health Center
- PriorityOne Health Center now offers behavioral health services with an onsite therapist. Counseling for individuals, couples and families is offered to help you improve your health. Whether you’re dealing with grief, stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, PTSD, eating disorders, substance abuse or self-image – PriorityOne Health Center therapist Jen Simon is here to listen. - Behavioral health at PriorityOne Health Center is available to the following individuals enrolled in the District’s health insurance plan:
  - Staff members and pre-Medicare retirees
  - Dependents, including spouses and children age 12+

SMSD Aquatic Center

The SMSD Aquatic Center is available to SMSD staff members, spouses and dependents at no cost.

Take advantage of this benefit by completing a membership form at teh Aquatic Center. Be sure to bring your SMSD ID with you for proof of employment.
