Adding Alt Text to Images
Images help tell a story, but if they are not accessible, some people won't get the full message. This includes individuals who use screen readers, have low vision, or rely on text-only tools.

Tips for Writing Alt Text
- Keep it short and specific. Usually 1-2 sentences.
- Consider key elements of why you chose this image. Describe what is essential to understanding the content.
- No need to say "picture of" or "image of."
- Do say if it's a logo, illustration, or painting
- If text appears in the image, include it in the alt text or main body content.
